In an interview with Deadline about the shocking ABC Season 3 finale A million little things Series creator / executive producer DJ Nash has revealed the oversized episode count for Season 4.
“We’re doing 20 episodes this year,” he said. “It’s the biggest season we’ve ever had.
The serialized drama about a tight-knit group of friends produced 17 episodes in season 1, 19 in season 2 and 18 in season 3 impacted by Covid.
Nash pointed out that the big order was a sign ABC was confident in the show’s long-term prospects.
“With that we get an order for 20 episodes, it doesn’t feel like ABC wants this to be our last season,” he said.
And Nash is confident that the show’s writers, directors, and cast will be up to the task.
“There’s no question we’ve got enough to make 20 amazing episodes this season,” Nash said.
