Amit Sadh recently announced that he would not post on social media. He said he will respond to messages in his DM but will refrain from posting. The actor felt that in these difficult times inflicted on people by the pandemic, it didn’t feel right to spam people with meaningless messages.
India is currently facing the worst COVID pandemic. Speaking to a news portal, Amit Sadh wondered how he could talk about a project when the country was suffering and how could he be so shameless and selfish. He also expressed disbelief at people using social media to display their privileged lives, at a time when millions of people are suffering from the pandemic.
Sadh added that the lifeblood of the world, especially in India, is at a standstill. He said the country is suffering and how he can talk about a project. He added that it was not a joke and should be taken seriously.
Amit Sadh is upset by the way the crisis is unfolding in the country and wonders how people can turn a blind eye to it. He said that was the reason he decided to stop posting on social media because he felt his videos and photos wouldn’t help anyone.
Amit said everyone else was suffering or someone they knew was suffering at the hands of the virus. In the middle of that, he asks how his quote, reel, or dance will inspire someone. This is the reason why he decided to stop talking about how perfect everything was in his life.
Announcing his break with social media, Amit wrote: “I’m going offline. Recent events have made me think about whether I should publish my photos and reels. Especially when my city of Mumbai and the whole state are under strict Covid restrictions, the whole country is going through a tough time. I believe my post and my gym workout reels, the stupid things I do, won’t heal or entertain anyone. This is not a criticism of anyone. Personally, I think the best way to be sensitive to the situation is to pray and hope that things get better.
