Awesomeness’s Shelley Zimmerman Joins Kerry Ehrin’s Bad Attitude Entertainment As President – Deadline

Shelley Zimmerman, who has just left Awesomeness after five years, has been appointed television president for Kerry Ehrin’s Bad Attitude Entertainment as part of Ehrin’s global deal on Apple TV +. She will lead development and produce new projects for the company, including those that Ehrin will create and write, and those for which she will oversee other writers.

Ehrin, executive producer / showrunner of Apple TV + flagship drama series The morning show, is the first writer to sign a global agreement with Apple TV +. The agreement was extended earlier this year.

“Shelley brings a wealth of experience and knowledge and has a great creative instinct, and is the perfect person to partner with as I seek to grow my business and identify projects, both for writing on my own. and as an opportunity to make the voices of other writers heard, ”Ehrin says.

Zimmerman was most recently EVP, live-action studios for Awesomeness, part of ViacomCBS’s Kids & Family group. There she produced series, including the Daytime Emmy Award Trinkets for Netflix and Hulu’s Primetime Emmy Award nominee Pen15.

Prior to Awesomeness, Zimmerman was SVP of Script Programming at Warner Horizon, where she oversaw shows such as Freeform’s Pretty little Liars and TNT Dallas.

Previously, Zimmerman was Head of Development at Tollin / Robbins Prods, becoming President of Television Development. There she developed Smallville, One Tree Hill and What I like about you.

Produced by Erhin The morning show, starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, is currently in production for season two. Previously, Ehrin was co-creator, executive producer and showrunner of Motel Bates, starring Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore, who ran on A&E for five seasons. Prior to that, she was a key writer-producer on Friday night lights and Parenthood.

Ehrin is replaced by Rothman Brecher Ehrich Livingston and lawyer Phil Klein. Zimmerman is represented by lawyer Logan Clare in Ziffren Brittenham.
