Ayushmann Khurrana and his wife Tahira Kashyap have come forward to contribute to the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help people crippled by the COVID-19 pandemic in the state. Ayushmann and Tahira posted a note on their social media thanking every Indian who has consistently inspired the couple to do more to help those ravaged by the crisis.

They said in the joint statement: “We have been in the eye of the storm since last year. This pandemic has broken our hearts, made us endure pain and suffering like never before, showed us how solidarity with one another can help us deal with this humanitarian crisis. Even today, this pandemic calls on us to show courage, resilience and mutual support.

The couple added, “People across India are committed to doing the most they can for each other and for Tahira and I thank everyone who inspired us to do more. We have consistently done our part to help as many people as possible and have now contributed to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra’s Relief Fund at this time of need.

Ayushmann and Tahira called on more and more Indians to come to the aid of those in need. They said, “This is the time when we should come together as a community and take care of each other. People need as much help as possible and we can all seek to do our part as we see fit. “
