Bollywood star Bhumi Pednekar has her heart in the right place. Bhumi, who is currently touring Rishkesh for Badhaai Do, decided to spread some love this Valentine’s Day in the city. The actress wanted to bring joy to underprivileged children by offering them a healthy and hearty meal and joined forces with an NGO, PANKH, for the same. Bhumi provided a hearty meal to around 100 children associated with this NGO.
Bhumi learned that PANKH, which literally means wings, is committed to transforming the lives of those who live in the slums and rural areas of Rishikesh. She was very impressed with their organization and how deeply they are invested in raising the children of this stratum. The children were delighted to receive this surprise gift and wished Bhumi good luck.
Shivangi said, “I am a student of Pankh, the school of creation. I saw a lot of your movies and I remember your first movie Dum Laga Ke Haisha which was filmed in Rishikesh where our school is located. I would like to say thank you madam Bhumi and we love you.
Simran from Pankh says, “I’m a huge fan of yours and I’ve seen a lot of your movies like SKA, Toilet and Dum Laga Ke Haisha. They were really amazing and also sent a stronger message to the company. Thank you.”
An overwhelmed Bhumi said, “It’s about spreading love! The children of Pankh made my Valentine’s Day special. Thank you for all your kindness and warmth to me, my Valentine!
