An episode of the upcoming second season of Netflix’s coming-of-age comedy series I have never, featuring the voiceover of Chrissy Teigen, will not air as originally produced.
Chrissy Teigen has decided to retire from a guest voiceover role in an episode of the upcoming second season of I have never,Said a spokesperson for the show. “The role should be recast.”
No details of the role are disclosed, but it is believed to be a guest narrator passage.
This is the latest fallout in the growing controversy surrounding Teigen, which began when she was accused of cyberbullying by former reality TV star Courtney Stodden.
In season 2 of I have never, Native American teenager Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) continues to deal with the daily pressures of high school and home theater, while leading new romantic relationships. I have never is created by executive producer Mindy Kaling, with Lang Fisher as co-creator, executive producer, showrunner, and writer. The Universal Television Project is also produced by Howard Klein and David Miner of 3 Arts Entertainment. The second season is slated to premiere on Netflix in July.
