In China, F9 has now exceeded Godzilla vs. Kong to become the biggest Hollywood movie to release during the pandemic. It has grossed around 1.3 billion RMB ($ 203.8 million) to date, tied with Hobbs & Shaw at the same time of release. The latter film peaked at RMB 1.43B. The gross through Sunday gives Universal the bragging rights of six films that have crossed the $ 200 million milestone in the Middle Empire, the most ever for a single studio (above Disney’s five ). In Korea, F9 is 16% lower furious 7 with an amount of $ 17.7 million to hit the biggest gross for a Hollywood film in 2020 and 2021. There are still many markets ahead which will start with Australia on June 17th as the rollout continues throughout long summer.

And, we hear that Demon Slayer – Kimetsu No Yaiba – The Mugen Train Movie has indeed surpassed the $ 500 million mark globally, but is still waiting for those pesky official figures to assign a specific number.
