” I do not really know. We’re wondering when someone will tell us when it’s going to be okay, ”Corden told DeGeneres. “I hope that at the end of the summer, or in the fall, we can start over.”
The 10 Emmy winner noted that at this point, “there’s a whole bunch of artists” that he and his team are “desperate” to make the segment with. At the same time, he joked, “we seem to be working in the toughest building maybe on Earth, so I am so hopeful that we can do it before the end of the year.”
First introduced on The late show in 2015, Carpool Karaoke is a recurring segment in which Corden walks around with famous guests and invites them to participate in a song. While Stevie Wonder, Adele, Paul McCartney, Madonna, Celine Dion and many other legends have appeared in the segment in the past, Corden has been unable to film any new episodes since the Covid-19 pandemic erupted in March. from last year.
