In Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, host Jimmy Kimmel celebrated a personal pandemic milestone, noting that he’s finally fully vaccinated.
“Oh, what a joy to walk around without a mask, hugging people. I feel like a superhero, ”said the late night host on ABC. “Seriously, if you don’t have a vaccine yet, go ahead. It’s the biggest.
Another cause for celebration was the fact that travel was on the rise over the statutory holiday weekend, once again signaling a gradual return to normal in the United States. “The TSA examined over seven million people over the holiday weekend, and that’s another fun thing because you can get on a flight without getting vaccinated, without a problem,” Kimmel joked. “But God forbid, bring a full-size shampoo bottle, you’re going to fall.” “
He later discussed the Americans’ return to the movies and recent updates to the masking policies of movie channels, including AMC, which will allow fully vaccinated moviegoers to remove their masks in theaters. “Those who are fully vaccinated don’t have to wear masks in the movies, but you don’t have to show proof,” Kimmel noted. “It’s done on the honor system, which has worked so well for movies for decades. I can’t even imagine sneaking into one of them!
During tonight’s opening monologue, Kimmel also touched on the recent controversial comments by “Trump’s forgiveness friend” Michael Flynn, appearing to support the idea of toppling the government, and more.
