The Los Angeles County Public Health Department reported 15 new deaths from COVID-19 and 285 new positive cases on Saturday.
As the number of hospitalizations continues to decline in the county as vaccines are distributed, the number of reported deaths and confirmed cases may reflect delays in reporting over the weekend.
Figures reported today by Public Health bring the county to a total of 24,390 deaths and 1,244,917 confirmed cases.

Of the 15 deaths reported today, eight were over 80, four were between 65 and 79, one was between 50 and 64 and one was between 30 and 49.
The LA Department of Health has also announced that anyone aged 18 and over coming for their first dose of the vaccine or who brings a newly vaccinated to their appointment for the second dose in an LA county, city, town, St. John’s Well Child or Family Center vaccination will have the opportunity to win a pair of season tickets for the 2021-22 home season from the LA Football Club or the Los Angeles Dodgers.
