Former Nevada Senator Harry Reid, once a major Democratic Party leader before his retirement, has claimed defense contractor Lockheed Martin may have had fragments of a crashed UFO in his possession.
Reid, 81, told the New Yorker that he had never actually seen evidence of the remains, but was rebuffed in his efforts to gain Pentagon approval to find them. Reid was the longtime senator from Nevada, the home of the Area 51 military base, long known to house UFOs and possibly even living aliens.
“I have been told for decades that Lockheed has recovered some of these documents,” the Democrat told the outlet. They wouldn’t approve of it. I don’t know what all the numbers were, what kind of classification it was, but they didn’t want to give me that.
Reid was interviewed for a New Yorker article on government UFO polls.
A government report is expected in June that will detail in more detail what the U.S. government knows about UFOs.
