Fox News Channel on Monday unveiled an overhaul of its daytime programming, including switching Martha MacCallum’s The Story from its 7 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET slot, while White House chief correspondent John Roberts will drop by. to a new role as co-host of a two-hour newscast with Sandra Smith from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Meanwhile, Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino will switch to 9 a.m.ET when they anchor a two-hour edition of American press room, succeeding Smith. Hemmer was originally featured on the newscast when it launched in 2007 and recently hosted a 3pm show. Perino hosted The Daily Briefing at 2 p.m. ET.
Harris Faulkner will drop by 11 a.m. ET with The Faulkner focus, followed by Outnumbered at noon.

The network said it will launch a new opinion piece in the 7:00 p.m. ET slot, with a rotating group of hosts for now and the show titled Fox News Primetime. Since the election, Newsmax’s growth Greg Kelly Reports in that time slot because he brought forward Donald Trump’s election fraud allegations. He beat Fox News’ The story in a key demo on December 7, while MacCallum the show saw the erosion of the audience the day after the election. MacCallum’s show nevertheless held a large lead overall.
The new programming will begin on January 18.

Fox News has yet to name a successor for Roberts in the White House. The show he will anchor with Smith will be titled Reports from America.

9:11 a.m.ET: American Newsroom with Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino
11 a.m.ET: The Faulkner focus
12 p.m. to 1 p.m. ET: Outnumbered
1:00 p.m. ET: Reports from America with John Roberts & Sandra Smith
3 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET: The story with Martha MacCallum
4 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET: Your world with Neil Cavuto
5 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET: The five
6-7 p.m. ET: Special report with Bret Baier
7 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET: Fox News Primetime
