‘MNF’ wins Monday odds, troughs ‘LA’s Finest’

As 2020 draws to a close, the television landscape continues to take a bit of a breather, with most networks airing reruns. But there is action during downtime: ABC has finished its season of with a bang last night, delivering a 1.2 among adults ages 18-49 and 6.05 million viewers who watched the Buffalo Bills gut the New England Patriots 38-9 in a game that aired simultaneously on ESPN. His early Nielsen Live + Same Day issues were even in demo and up in viewers from ABC-ESPN’s last MNF game (Bills vs San Francisco, December 7). Expect final numbers to adjust later today.

Somewhere else, The best of LA (0.2, 1.53M) was the only other fresh Monday night fare. The Fox Police proceeding which stars Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba and originally aired as Spectrum Original returned after a break in a weak demo. The new episode was followed by a rerun of 9-1-1.

NBC kept the holiday spirit alive with a booster presentation of Dolly Parton’s Colorful Christmas: Circle of Love and ended the night with a repeat of Weakest link.

CBS was calm with reruns of The neighborhood, Bob Hearts Abishola, let’s make a deal and Taurus, while the CW played the second portion of Who owns it anyway? and Penn & Teller: Cheating on us.
