Mossimo Giannulli released from prison, enters house arrest – Deadline

Mossimo Giannulli was released from prison three weeks earlier, after pleading guilty and being sentenced to five months for his role in the infamous 2019 college admissions corruption scandal.

The 57-year-old American fashion designer and husband of the former Full house star Lori Loughlin, is now housebound. Giannulli’s release from home is not considered unusual, given the length of his sentence. Apparently, he is under the supervision of a prison facility in the Long Beach Bureau, and will be released from house arrest on April 17.

Last year, Giannulli and Loughlin both pleaded guilty to paying $ 500,000 to bring their daughters to the University of Southern California. While Giannulli began serving his sentence in a medium security federal penitentiary in Lompoc, Calif., Last November, Loughlin spent two months in a Dublin, Calif. Prison and was released in December.

Arrested on March 12, 2019, the couple were among the best-known parents linked to the national scandal. The charges against them included conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest service fraud, followed by subsequent money laundering charges. 48 others were also charged with their role in the scandal, which involved false test scores, fake sports credentials and the bribery of school officials.
