Kate Hoenigsberg joined Universal Television as SVP, Drama Development. Hoenigsberg, who started in March, reports to Vivian Cannon, Executive Vice President, Drama Development.
Cannon was previously Executive Vice President, Drama Development at the studio before being elevated to Executive Vice President and Head of Department last year following the promotion of Erin Underhill, Drama Manager, to president of Universal TV. Hoenigsberg now fulfills this role and has been tasked with developing series for broadcast, cable and streaming platforms.
Prior to joining UTV, Hoenigsberg was at Quibi where she led script development and programming for the platform. His series included that of Veena Sud The foreigner and When the street lights go outnm Prior to that, Hoenigsberg spent over 10 years at NBCUniversal. More recently as vice-president of the Scripted Cable group where she developed several series such as The fisherman on USA, Bravo’s Dirty Jean and Impostors, and The arrangement and The Royals a!
