Indian Idol 12 host Aditya Narayan announced that he and his wife, Shweta Agarwal, had tested positive for the coronavirus. After that, fans wondered who would be hosting Indian Idol 12 in Aditya’s absence. This week we have Jay Bhanushali taking his place but Aditya won’t be back next week either. Now, according to reports in ETimes, Rithvik Dhanjani will step in for Aditya Narayan as host of Indian Idol 12. Rithvik Dhanjani has hosted several reality shows including India’s Best Dramebaaz, Nach Baliye 7 and Super Dancer. Rithvik Dhanjani confirmed the news to ETimes. He said he will host Indian Idol 12 for just one weekend for Aditya. He will shoot on April 5 and has previously worked with judges Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani and Himesh Reshammiya. He also said that his approach to the show would be that of a fan as his parents followed her religiously. He also said he was going to be as he was and that he hadn’t done any preparation. Rithvik believes in enjoying what he does. Rithvik Dhanjani had recently visited the Maldives and was tested for COVID-19. He said, “I was tested yesterday and it was negative.” Earlier today, Aditya Narayan took to Instagram to share that he had tested positive. He wrote: “Hello everyone! Unfortunately my wife @shwetaagarwaljha and I have tested positive for Covid-19 and are in quarantine. Please stay safe, continue to follow protocol and keep us in your prayers. ❤️ “Shweta Agarwal also reposted Aditya’s post.
