It was easy like ABC in the Friday Night Audience Wars, as the Alphabet Network was the big winner in the night’s demos.
the Shark aquarium the team were once again the kings of Friday night demo odds, with a 0.7 to overtake Fox WWE Friday Night SmackDown, which came with a 0.6.
Sharks Mark Cuban, Kevin O’Leary, Lori Greiner, Barbara Corcoran and guest Shark Alex Rodriguez heard speeches from several Los Angeles entrepreneurs, including a team coming up with a new path in condiments, a multicultural craft design team and champagne suppliers.
This provided a solid introduction to ABC 20/20, who took another look at the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey. This brought in another 0.7.
On CBS, police drama programming saw new episodes of MacGyver (0.5) and Magnum PI (O.5), the latter attracting the largest total audience of the evening. CBS ended the evening with a Blue blood repeat.
NBC hosted the US Figure Skating Championships from the incongruous location of Las Vegas. The event was moved there due to travel restrictions related to the pandemic. The show brought in a 0.3 for the Peacock Network.
The CW saw Who owns it anyway and Penn & Teller is cheating on us tick up to a demonstration score of 0.2.
