For fans of The Mandalorian, Christmas came early as a director and Boba Fett’s book Executive producer Robert Rodriguez joined The Child (aka Grogu) for a holiday jam session.
Rodriguez, who also directed Alita: the angel of battle and Netflix We can be heroes, tweeted a video on Christmas Eve that served as a holiday gift for fans asking what it’s like to be on set with the beloved creature in the center of Jon Favreau Star wars spin off. Playing the chords of his guitar, Rodriguez joins the child for a short performance.
In the video, Rodriguez scratches a snippet of a posh number while the child nods, smiles and coos to the beat.
Rodriguez directed chapter 14, titled The tragedy, from the Disney + series which stars Pedro Pascal in the lead role. The Mandalorian ended its second season a week before Christmas with an animated finale that had STar wars fans celebrating the return of familiar faces.
The last episode of The Mandalorian Season two saw The Child join Luke Skywalker (a CGI version of Mark Hamill) and R2-D2 to train Jedi style.
