The Paley Center presents an event and quarterly series to examine the role of the media in the fight against anti-Semitism – Deadline

The Paley Center has announced efforts to open the conversation about the impact of the media in addressing the rise in anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial.

Starting at 9 a.m. ET on Wednesday, International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Paley Center will host The role of the media in combating Holocaust denial, disinformation and Anti-semitism Event. The discussion, which will air on Verizon Media’s dedicated Paley Center channel on Yahoo Entertainment, will include panelists including vice president of content policy for Facebook Monika Bickert; The director of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, Sara Bloomfield; Former Tel Aviv and NBC News bureau chief and presenter Martin Fletcher.

Eva Schloss, Holocaust survivor; Executive Vice President of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany Greg Schneider. Journalist Paula Zahn will moderate the discussion. The discussion will be moderated by renowned journalist Paula Zahn.

In addition to the International Holocaust Remembrance Day event, the Paley Center announced its quarterly PaleyImpact series. The newly announced series will address how the media is shaping influence in the fight against the rise of anti-Semitism and will bring together a number of prominent leaders in journalism, entertainment, public policy, culture and sports. PaleyImpact seeks to shed light on how the media – in all its forms – can educate, inform and provide a solution to hate. This PaleyImpact series has been made possible by the generous support of Aryeh, Elana Bourkoff and Shari Redstone, recognizing the vital importance of this issue.
