WWE Friday Night SmackDown tops tough week’s night – Deadline

Earlier this week, WWE suffered a downsizing, dropping six members of its wrestling team and suffering an unknown number of other layoffs in the company.

But last night the WWE Friday Night SmackDown stepped out of the ring in triumph, winning the evening’s Demo Wars for Fox convincingly with a 0.7, far outpacing the competition. The SmackDown Tag Team Championship was the big draw, as Rey and Dominik Mysterio beat the Usos.

At NBC, a new The blacklist saw Raymond Reddington take on nemesis Townsend, as the season ends, with just two episodes left. The episode shot a 0.4, up from its performance over the past few weeks. A repeat of Date line monitoring.

ABC has seen its revival Emergency call make a 0.3. The series gives audiences a more in-depth look at the crucial first minutes of emergencies when 911 dispatchers receive calls reporting serious issues. This provided a good introduction for newsmag 20/20, which got 0.4 for its follow-up to the so-called “Gone Girl” case.

CBS crime drama programming had an evening of reruns. On the CW, a replay of Charm presented a new episode of Dynasty, which fell to a friends and family level only with a 0.0 overnight.
