Kino Lorber will also be releasing a career retrospective of Beth B’s shorts and feature films, including new 4K restorations of New York’s underground films made in collaboration with Scott B.

The distribution agreement was negotiated by Kino Lorber SVP Wendy Lidell and Ben Schwartz of Submarine Entertainment representing director Beth B.

Lidell said, “Beth B’s in-your-face documentary about multimedia artist Lydia Lunch Breaking Barriers and Pushing Envelopes epitomizes women’s empowerment. Although Beth and Lydia burst onto the New York punk scene in the 1970s, their philosophy is as iconoclastic now as it was then, making it a film young and old can embrace.

Beth B added, “We came to New York as these lost misfits full of rage and alienation – and we kind of saw a way to communicate, not so much through words, but through creativity. Beloved collaborator, Lydia Lunch is a complex character – a controversial, strong-willed and dramatic outdoor artist we are proud to work with. Kino Lorber to release this movie.
