Superstar Rajinikanth, who was admitted to a company hospital here on Friday with severe fluctuations in blood pressure, is stable and a decision on his discharge from the hospital will be made on Sunday morning, medics said on Saturday. The hospital had said earlier that the decision to discharge him would be made on Saturday. Apollo Hospital, where the actor was admitted, said some of the investigations carried out on Saturday had arrived and there was nothing to be alarmed about.
“Some additional reports are expected. Based on the reports of the remaining investigations and the state of his blood pressure overnight, a call will be taken on Sunday morning when he is released from the hospital,” he said in a report. communicated.
Previously, doctors said he had had a hectic night and his blood pressure was still higher although better controlled than Friday.
“His blood pressure medications are carefully titrated and he will continue to be closely monitored. He has been advised to get full rest due to his unstable blood pressure and visitors are not allowed to see him,” a- he indicated.
Rajinikanth’s daughter is with him in the hospital. His family members and doctors urged all supporters to avoid going to the hospital.
The 70-year-old actor had been shooting for the Tamil film Annaatthe in Hyderabad for 10 days.
A few people on the film set had tested positive for Covid-19. Rajinikanth was tested for Covid-19 on December 22 and the report turned negative. He had since isolated himself and had been closely watched.
“Although he had no symptoms of Covid-19, his blood pressure showed severe fluctuations and required further evaluation for which he was admitted to hospital,” said an earlier statement from the hospital.
