HBO reveals prequel to ‘Game Of Thrones’ in production – Deadline

the Dragon house is finally under construction.

HBO revealed that the direct series Game of thrones prequel by George RR Martin, Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik, is now in production and will launch in 2022.

The cable network broke the news, along with a photo of the cast during a social distance read, on Twitter (see below).

House of the Dragon stars Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy and Fabien Frankel. Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best and Sonoya Mizuno also feature.

Based on Martin’s Fire and blood, the series, which takes place 300 years before the events of Game of thrones, tells the story of House Targaryen. Considine plays King Viserys Targaryen, Cooke plays the role of Alicent Hightower, D’Arcy plays the role of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Smith of Prince Daemon Targaryen and Toussaint of Lord Corlys Velaryon, known as the sea serpent, who becomes the hand of Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen during the Dance of the Dragons.

Dragon house was co-created by Martin and Condal. The pilot script that resulted in the series commissioning was written by Condal. He serves as a co-showrunner alongside Obtained veteran Miguel Sapochnik, who will direct the pilot and additional episodes. Martin, Condal and Sapochnik produce alongside writer Sara Lee Hess, Vince Gerardis and Ron Schmidt. Greg Yaitanes, Product Co-Executive. Yaitanes, Clare Kilner and Geeta V. Patel complete the production team for the 10-episode series.
