“I can’t let these things bother me” – Kirti Kulhari on the boycott trend on social media: Bollywood News

Actor Kirti Kulhari has been in the film industry for over 10 years now. Over the past few years, Kirti has been seen more prominently onscreen with films like Mission Mangal, Uri: the surgical strike and web series like Four more shots please! and the recently published Criminal justice: behind closed doors. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Kirti Kulhari spoke about the choice of projects and recent trends in boycott and ban social media.

Speaking about her choice of projects and how that has changed over the years, she said, “I’m more and more confident about the kind of work I want to do. I only became more selective. I want to do more difficult things. I’ve come to realize that if I’m doing what I’m doing, I have to push myself and not be comfortable. I always have to choose scripts and characters that push me as an actor and have something to say to the audience and what I have to say through my characters and my story just gets more and more complex. , you know like the most difficult subjects, the subjects which are not easy to broach, the subjects with which we, as a society, are not comfortable. “

“I think cinema is a way of talking about things that matter. It’s my way of seeing art. I think I would like to do that. Every time, every time, ”she added.

However, films that have tried to portray or reflect society have in the past encountered social media boycott by some people on the internet. When asked if this bothered her, Kirti replied, “No, it doesn’t. I can’t let these things bother me. Beyond a certain point, I don’t care about all the drama that’s going on in the world on all fronts. People should just focus on their own lives at the end of the day and deal with it and not try to change the world in ways that aren’t even real. You just talk about things, you talk about change. If you want to do something, you have to start with yourself. Changing is the only way to go. “
