“ Between the World and Me ” director Kamilah Forbes signs with UTA – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: Award-winning theater and television director-producer and Queen Kamilah Forbes have signed

In 2018, Forbes performed the sold-out world premiere and tour of the stage adaptation of Ta-Nehisi Coates’ best-selling novel. Between the world and me at the Apollo Theater and the Kennedy Center. She then served as an executive producer and director of the HBO TV adaptation.

The adaptation of Between the world and me earned Forbes a NAACP Image Award nomination as well as a Critics Choice Award nomination.
