The second wave of COVID has taken its toll across the country. In the morning, we saw Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar, who was shooting for Ram Setu, share the news that he has tested positive for coronavirus on his social media account with a note that reads: “I wish let everyone know that earlier this morning I tested positive for COVID-19. By following all the protocols, I immediately isolated myself. I am in home quarantine and have requested the necessary medical attention. I sincerely ask everyone who has come in contact with me to get tested and take care of it. Back in action very soon!
Now things have gotten worse as all 45 junior artists have tested positive for COVID. FWICE (Federatioon of Western India Cine Employees) General Secretary Ashok Dubey confirmed the news and said: “Ram Setu has taken every precaution. Ram Setu, produced by Cape Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment, Lyca Films and Prime Video, also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha in key roles. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar will soon be seen in Sooryavanshi, which has reportedly been postponed again due to the second wave of COVID-19. The film also features Katrina Kaif, Jaaved Jaaferi, Gulshan Grover, Kumud Mishra, Abhimanyu Singh, Vivan Bhatena and Sikander Khan, with special appearances from Ajay Devgn as Singham and Ranveer Singh as Simmba. It is funded under the banners of Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions and Cape Of Good Films.
